Thank you to the team from MOD’s Defence Business Services for raising £218.24 by holding a Christmas Jumper and Raffle on Thursday 16th December.
The event held at Imjin Barracks in Gloucester was organized by the DBS team in aid of the Family Haven.
The winner of the Christmas jumper wore a jumper with lights on it.
There were also lots of lovely raffle prizes including boxes of chocolates, tins of chocolate, gin liquor, mulled wine, beauty gifts plus many more.
A representative from the team’s charity committee said: “This is the first charity event we’ve been able to hold in 2021 due to Covid restrictions, but a Christmas jumper competition and raffle meant we could include those working from home as well as those whose job needs them to be in the office. Approx. 1500 raffle tickets were sold and an fantastic amount of £218.24 was raised for the Family Haven Gloucester. Thank you to The Family Haven Gloucester for providing us with collection boxes and posters at short notice as these were used to help advertise the event.”
Lucy Pearce, the Centre Manager at the Family Haven said:
