We’ve got loads of great fundraising ideas and inspiration to help you raise money for the Family Haven. Here is our top 10 fundraising ideas, so you can hit the ground running!

Stay safe. When planning your fundraising activities, please make sure you follow Government guidance on coronavirus.

Head shave

Could you challenge yourself to lose your locks to raise money? Set up a fundraising page and share photos or a video online to encourage your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.

Great Fundraising Bake off

Everyone loves a sweet treat! Put your baking skills to use and hold a bake sale in a local community centre or shopping area. Make sure to include crowd favourites like brownies, cupcakes and cookies!

Sell your items on eBay

Have a weekend clear out in your attic or garage and sell your unwanted items on eBay – you will be amazed how easy it is to raise money. You can also donate clothes, toys, food and smaller items directly to us at the Family Haven.

Set up a birthday fundraiser

Celebrate your birthday with your friends and family by creating a Facebook Fundraiser. By asking for donations in lieu of cards and gifts you are giving a family a place to start thinking about their future.

Take on challenge event

Take a look at our challenge page with lots of ideas on ways you can get involved. Staying fit can improve your physical and mental wellbeing. Set yourself a daily, weekly or monthly walking challenge, or walk every day as long as you can. Ask your friends to sponsor you.

Host a virtual gaming fundraiser

Combine your passion of gaming with raising funds for the Family Haven through an online gaming fundraiser. Choose a game and host it on Twitch. Ask your participants and followers to donate.

Theme your fundraiser

Choose a theme for your fundraiser. For instance, you could host a Halloween party and have a fancy dress contest with the kids. Get your family and friends to vote for a winner and to donate to the Family Haven online.

Host a book club

Organise a book club with your family, friends and colleagues. Let people join for a small fee.

Get crafty

Use your creative skills to host a fundraiser for the Family Haven. You could host a virtual workshop for friends and family or make bespoke items in return for donations.

Matched giving

Matched giving is a great way to boost what you raise. Ask your employer if they have a Matched Giving scheme and you could double what you raise from your fundraising activity.
