A team from the Mears Group will be taking part in a sponsored skydive in September for the Family Haven and we’re so grateful for their support. Nadia tells us more about why she’s signed up to this amazing challenge with her colleagues and how you can support the team.
“After doing an Easter Egg collection for The Family Haven we were able to see and hear about the vital support the charity gives to vulnerable people in Gloucestershire, who are often homeless, living in unsuitable accommodation or stuck in the poverty loop. It is important to us that we support a local charity, where we can really make a positive impact on the people in the area we live and work. Since covid, a lot of Charities have suffered as they aren’t getting as much financial support. So, to raise as much money as possible to enable the charity to continue its vital support, 6 of us will be doing a skydive from 10,000ft on 10th September. It will be a huge challenge to those of us that don’t like heights, and for some will be pushing us out of our comfort zone, but knowing you’re all supporting us will get us back down to the ground.
