We have now officially adopted a goat. The children decided on the name Peach. She was born on the 20th May. She has officially been given this name now and is on St James city farm website. The children have been to see her, when she was two weeks old. The children were amazed how small she was. We talked about what an adult is called as well as a baby goat. They were able to stroke her for a brief period, with a cross mummy looking on (we were outside the pen, not inside, to ensure safety) The children have put up pictures of Peach in the nursery and are continuing to visit. They will be able to feed her soon.
