Tesco Collection - January 17th and 18th, 2009
We were granted a two day monetary collection at Tesco in Gloucester and this raised a fantastic £393.28. A big thank you to all the volunteers and to everyone who so generously donated. Your support is much appreciated and will help us to budget and plan effectively for the many families who need our service.
Snowdrop Teas - January 31st and February 1st, 2009.
The Family Haven was selected as one of the charities to run the teas for the snowdrop weekends at Colesbourne Gardens. We were given the first weekend of these events and what a cold weekend it was! Those brave enough to go out welcomed their hot drinks and wonderful selection of delicious cakes.
We would like to thank everyone who baked for us there really were compliments all round. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped over the two days, they were kept very busy supplying in the region of 300 cups of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We would also like to thank Mr. Elwes and all his staff for all their help as well as giving us the opportunity to do the teas. Such events help to publicise The Family Haven and the work we do.
The Family Haven is delighted to have raised £641.00 from this event.
